LifeOX® M delivers the highest achievable water quality for both public pools and whirlpools, ensuring unmatched health and comfort. Its advanced AOP technology eliminates harmful trichloramine and prevents the formation of bound chlorine, addressing issues like asthma, pool odor, red eyes, and skin irritation while protecting pool structures from corrosion. This system radically improves water and air quality while reducing operating costs by up to 50%, offering a rapid return on investment of just 8–16 months. The water it treats is suitable even for toddlers and asthmatics, providing a safe and pleasant environment for all users. With its simple Plug & Play installation, LifeOX® M seamlessly integrates into both new and existing pool systems. Pools treated with LifeOX® M define the concept of a truly healthy pool.

What is a healthy pool?

The LifeOX® M modular system treats any water flow, up to 250 m3/h per one system

The LifeOX® M system treats water flows up to 250 m³/h, making it ideal for pools of all sizes, from small facilities to large aquaparks. Its scalability ensures consistent water quality even under heavy use, creating a healthy and safe environment for all swimmers, including toddlers and asthmatics.

Fast ROI (Return On Investment) - Chlorine Reduction 90%

Reducing chlorine usage by up to 90% with advanced technologies like LifeOX® M significantly lowers the ongoing costs of pool maintenance. This reduction includes savings on purchasing, storing, and handling chlorine, as well as minimizing the wear and tear on equipment caused by excessive chemical exposure. These operational savings lead to a faster return on your initial investment, typically within months, making it a cost-effective and sustainable choice for maintaining a clean and healthy pool.

LifeAGE saves up to 50% of energy costs

AOP systems with LifeAGE® technology offer minimal operational expenses through low power consumption and reduced service costs. They adapt UV radiation intensity to current needs, provide versatile performance under extreme loads, and extend lamp lifespan. By optimizing energy use, these systems lower the carbon footprint while maintaining superior water quality.

The magic lies in the dynamic release of energy needed to economically manage the intensity of UV radiation. The AOP system with the LifeAGE® technology emits UV intensity copying the minimum required radiation intensity curve. This system is autonomous and works in real-time. Therefore, it does not need to be connected to any external device that controls it to achieve this optimal intensity course. Therefore, the life of the UV lamp can be increased to up to 18,000 operating hours.

Why Reducing TOC is Crucial in Pools

TOC (Total Organic Carbon) represents the total amount of organic substances in pool water, including sweat, body oils, and residues from personal care products. High TOC levels create an ideal environment for the formation of harmful chloramines, such as trichloramine, which cause eye irritation, skin dryness, and the characteristic “chlorine smell.” Elevated TOC also increases the demand for chlorine, leading to higher chemical usage and operating costs. Additionally, it reduces the efficiency of water treatment systems, compromises water clarity, and diminishes air quality around the pool. Lowering TOC improves overall water quality, reduces chemical dependency, and ensures a healthier and more pleasant pool environment for swimmers.

Trichloramine

Trichloramine (NCl₃) forms when chlorine reacts with organic matter or ammonia, such as sweat or urine, in pool water. It causes the typical “chlorine smell,” eye and skin irritation, respiratory issues, and metal corrosion in pool structures. Removing trichloramine is essential for a healthier environment and can be achieved with medium-pressure UV systems, improving water quality, air conditions, and equipment longevity.

AOP (Advanced Oxidation Process) — reduces pool chemicals, saves money

The high oxidation potential of ozone can be significantly increased by combining it with UV radiation. This method is known as advanced oxidation or UV oxidation. LIFETECH has developed its own LifeOX® technology based on optimised synergy between ozone and UV radiation.

The advanced oxidation process (AOP) is today’s best water treatment technology. AOP is based on the formation of OH- radicals in the water. These OH- radicals have considerably higher oxidation potential compared to other water treatment oxidants. This means that OH- radicals (i.e., AOP technology) are able to oxidise particles in water much faster and more efficiently. The comparison can be found in the chart above. OH- radicals have a higher oxidation potential than hydrogen peroxide or ozone. The higher the oxidation potential, the more effective the water disinfection and purification.

Skincare pool technology - skin protection from trichloramine (Healthy pool)

Healthy pool

Chemical-free technology. Minimizing the chemicals in the water plus reduction of monthly costs

Trichloramine is a toxic substance that forms when chlorine reacts with nitrogen-containing compounds, such as sweat, body oils, and urine from swimmers. Its presence in pool water can lead to serious health risks, including eye irritation, coughing, difficulty breathing, and damage to the upper respiratory tract. Prolonged exposure has been linked to the development of asthma, allergies, and skin irritation, causing dryness and even premature aging.

By reducing chemical consumption, such as chlorine, these risks can be minimized while also lowering monthly pool maintenance costs. Lifetech’s advanced technologies provide an effective solution to combat trichloramine, ensuring a healthier and more pleasant pool environment.
